Fashion Fridays - Is It Too Early To Talk About Spring?!

Wow, is it actually Friday??? I can't believe it!!! Who's ready for the weekend ladies?!! Did we all raise our hands? Yea, I thought so. Okay so I know we are just ever so slightly into fall, but with all the fall talk I may be just a bit overloaded on the season. Or it may just be that the PNW has shown it's true colors and this gray has me looking forward to sunnier skies and brighter clothing?

So I'm just going to say it, ever since I saw Paris Fashion Week I've been reeling over the clothes coming out for Spring/Summer 2014. I'm obsessed!!! I can't stop thinking about the collections like, all day everyday. Maybe it's because my favorites incorporated themes that are all right up my weirdly obsessive alley.

Chanel

The first show that is just all I can think about lately, is Chanel's, I'm not going to lie, Karl outdid himself, the line as he described it, is the different people in the "art scene". He had the show setting set up to have the feel of an art gallery and one of the prints that came down the runway was what looked like paint swatches all over it. *Sigh* Can we all swoon together? I mean, I loved Karl, but now...I swear to god...and then for him to describe the hair as bang's with wings?! I mean, come one, can we just, like DIE together?!

I'm including the show so that you guys can get the feel of the layout, there's no good pictures to actually post, plus, I mean this will make your weekend, there I said it!

Dolce & Gabbana

Then we change paces completely to the Dolce & Gabbana show, wow, the use of those rich colors like red, gold's (THE GOLD'S my oh my) and the influence of two things Fellini and the Grecian influence in Italy. The silhouettes are that classic retro shape you'd expect with unexpected flourishes like grecian columns as the heels for the shoes and large gold coins as belt buckles and to adorn the hair. So us glamazon's it's like HEAVEN, heaven I tell you. I would rock that collection so hard!

I would post every picture, but I'm trying to be fair...but by far, this collection is where it's at.

Jean Paul Gaultier

I will say that the clothes weren't what stood out for me in this line, yes they were interesting, different takes on different styles through the years and a lot of leather hahaha. The show was just out of control. It was this weird mix of Grease (I mean blatant references they dressed Coco Rocha as Danny) but mostly the prom dance off part meets like different styles of dance over the years. Every model though looked like they were having and blast, and they used an amazing arrangement of music. So yea, I'm just going to include the show so you can dance around with it like I am!

In a later blog we can discuss how to take these styles and adapt them for the cooler season we are in, but for today I hope you get a little inspiration, was there a show that just wowed you during the fashion weeks? I mean I could do a whole series on what came down the runway in all the cities, would you be interested? Let me know!!! Have a wonderful weekend lovelies!

XO!
